96 days na lang pala! Monday, January 24, 2005 mood:i had another productive weekend. last saturday, i had my first trial makeup and it was with julian of fringe & co. if you'd like to see pics of the trial, you can find them here. i'm too embarassed to post the pictures outright. ngyahaha! anyhoo, although julian did a good job, i'm still scouting for other makeup artists. i feel kasi that my face changed. i think my cheeks look puffy or something, i don't know. basta. my face changed and i don't want that. if it were any other occasion, i would've booked julian right then and there. but the occasion being my wedding, i was looking for something more...natural. something that would make me look like a virginal bride. bwarharhar! oh, and i'm not too fond of the way they did my hair. so what do you guys think? after my trial, i went to the write impression, which was right at the next building. how convenient! they had really nice invites too, and i asked for a quote. the lady assisting me, joanne, was very nice and accommodating. she also knew what she was talking about, which was a relief. i also immediately got the quotation via email from jong mesina when i got home that same night. very prompt! however, the price is again, above our budget. as you've probably noticed, i'm not really allotting much for our invites. i'd rather invest on delicious food, good photo/video, and beautiful wedding rings. after the write impression, my mom and i went straight to QP to check out their invites. i know QP's rates are one of the lowest, and i was so happy cause i saw the type of invites that we wanted at such an affordable price! schmuck and i really just want classic invites (square, ecru, with pearlized borders) and i found it there! although i'd much prefer the card to be thicker, it wasn't so bad. it was thick enough. i was so excited to get the quote immediately from QP, and i knew schmuck would be proud of me for a job well done. beautiful invites, low price. hahaha! so it would seem that our invites supplier hunt is finally over, with QP bagging the prize. now i gotta start getting the complete names of our entourage members... after QP, mom and i had lunch first, then we headed to the nbc tent for the bridal fair. although i've pretty much booked most of my suppliers, i still wanted to go cause i know QP always has booths in these fairs. and i know they give out these cards that give you a 10% discount. hahaha! i'm such a stingy bitch! at the bridal fair, i also visited the w@w booth to get my free calendar. hahaha! there's that stingy bitch again. i also met nyree there (hi nyree!) and some other w@wies. too bad i couldn't stay long. i also met mye of matus jewellers. i've heard a lot of good things about matus from w@w, and true enough, mye was so nice. and the sample rings that they had there were so beautiful! since we still don't have our wedding rings, i held on to mye's card. it may come in handy once we start scouting for rings. saturday night, we finally got hold of tito jess, one of our principal sponsors. he's the last in our list of the must-visits and what a relief! of course, he accepted our invitation. huwahooo! all principal sponsors - done! i have a 6pm meeting set with impromptu on wednesday. if all goes well, i hope to book them already. i was surprised to receive a text message from tita cecile last saturday. she's the girlfriend of ninong dick, schmuck's uncle, and she's also a wedding coord. she's offering the OTD coordination at a much lower price now. cool! since she's still more expensive than impromptu, she can just be my backup in case things don't go well during my meeting on wednesday. i'm soooo happy to be getting a coordinator for my wedding. now i don't have to think about anything else except being pretty. hee! the only thing i wasn't able to accomplish last saturday was my confirmation certificate. i was supposed to go to san ago before my trial makeup, but i woke up late (as usual). i MUST go there this saturday. that way, i have all the church requirements by the time we have our canonical interview on feb 1. agenda for this week:
full steam ahead!!!! |
